The Signature Nail Technique has been rising over the years and the profits of salon's who have introduced the products to their clients.
Let's just say, if a Gel and an Acrylic made a baby, their baby would be SNS! And like any baby, they are healthy, light weight, and natural.
Benefits on SNS:
- ODORLESS: the fumes won't burn your eyes or nose
- NO LIQUID or UV LIGHT NEEDED: ditch the waiting time under the UV light! Once you apply the Top Coat, your finished nails will dry within seconds!
- LIGHT WEIGHT & DURABLE: acrylics are great because they are durable but the weight it puts on your nails are obvious..
- LOOKS & FEELS NATURAL: not only does it look great, it feels great!!
- HEALTHIER FOR YOUR NAILS: makes the whole package since Calcium, Vitamin A, E, B5, D3 is added into it. The Base Coat that is applied first on the nails are already doing its job by applying nutrients to keep the nails stronger and growing faster.
How to Get Clients to Love the Product:
1) PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!
We all know practice makes perfect. The SNS product is already perfect, it's just up to you to have the self-discipline to learn it. If you are already part of the ATL Nail Supply Loyalty Program, you will already know that we have the SNS Show every other month, well we try to. The shows are for you to get a better understanding and know the deeper details from every aspect of the product you have had questions about. If you can't make the shows, make an appointment with us and one of our professional associates, who have mastered the product, will be more than happy to have a one on one tutorial with you ~ (888)998-8765
2) To Get Clients to Love the Product, You Must Love it First!
You can't expect clients to want a new product they have never tried if they don't see you compassionate about the product you are selling. You need to practice, learn, and master the product before your clients will trust you with the benefits it provides.
3) Make SNS #1 Priority When Clients Ask for Gel or Acrylics
If a customers asks for Gel or an Acrylic, show them the display of Gelous Colours you have. Let them know that, as a license nail technician, your job is to help your clients maintain healthy and beautiful nails. The product will not only last longer than an average gel polish on the nails but it will also release nutrients to provide the nail beds with strength rather than acrylics, which will only destroy and shed the nail beds. Once you get the clients to try SNS, the product will speak for itself.
4) Clients Only Want What They See Others Have
It's funny how human nature is. We often compare what others have from a trigger of an impulsive envious response. Since we are all guilty for feeling this type of way. Why not use it for the better good of your salon? When you get a client to try the product, seat other clients around her/him so that they can see the SNS product being used and how great it looks when finished. While doing their nails, use your teaching skills. Here are a few pointers on what you should mention.
- Base Coat = has calcium
- Gelous Colour Powders = no added chemicals / has added nutrients / last more than 14 days / no damage on nail bed / soaks off easily with Acetone
- Ask the clients how SNS feels on their nails. Does it feel light, look natural, and durable?
- How do they like the shine? If they mention how they like the shine on Gels better.. NO PROBLEM:) Apply a gel top coat on their nails, put it under the UV light, and VOLA the shine they want with the nutrients of SNS they need.
- Some clients are allergic to the harsh chemicals that are in many of the nail products out there.. but say no more! SNS is FORMALDEHYDE, TOLUENE, & DBP FREE!!
Tips:
a) Always wipe the brush of the Gel Top & Base on a clean piece of napkin to prevent debris and clumps in the bottles after you apply each coat.
b) Don't be afraid to use a lot of gel base on the nails.
c) Start with a lot of gel base on the brush and apply it 1/2 away from the cuticles in the middle. Brush all the way down. Then brush from the left side and gradually move to the right. Remove excess gel in the bottle and before dipping it back in the bottle, brush the nail one last time from the left to right. Wipe the brush on a the clean piece of napkin and then put it back in the bottle.
d) Tips B & C will prevent the nails from getting bubbles trapped.
e) Continuing Tip C: After you dip the nails in the Natural Set powder for the 1st layer of Gelous Base Coat, Apply the 2nd layer of gel base 3/4 away from the cuticle using the same left to right stroke technique. The 3rd layer of gel base will be closer to the cuticle. This is to build a stronger foundation for the nails.
f) When doing SNS on fake nails, there will be 5 layers of Gel Base Coat on the nails, following with a dip in the Natural Set Powder for each layer.
1) Horizontally in the middle, where the fake nails and the natural nail bed meets.
2) Vertically, starting 3/4 away from the cuticle, brush 1 stroke in the middle all the way down.
3) Brush the gel base onto the vertical middle layer, making it a little wider. Closer to the sides of the nails but not all the way.
4) This time brush all the way from the left to the right but still 3/4 away from the cuticle.
5) Finally for the last layer, brush the whole nail. From the left to right stroke technique.
g) French Dipping Powder Container: On the side that marks the #1, will make a deeper dip for the french curve. On the other side that marks #2, will make the french dip less curvy.
e) When applying the Top Coat, 1st layer should be light and applied faster (doesn't need to be perfect). Clean brush off on napkin and dip it back in the bottle for another coat. 2nd layer, brush it evenly on the nail closer to the cuticle. This 2nd layer can be applied slower and perfectly.
f) When stroking any of the gels on the nails, make sure the brush is flat on the nail and stroked lightly. The brush should not be positioned at an angle or upwards.
Lots of Love,
